So sad to hear of this, though we never met in-person, We did PM for a while quite often.
Godspeed, Will (Trenchmonkey)!
When we make friends here on the forum, it's like losing a family member when they pass.

This is sad. I just dropped in the Nikon side to see what might be going on. I also remember the rodeo discussions and was in several discussions with him and others, particularly back in my Nikon dslr days. He was always a positive and entertaining participant here.
This is certainly very sad news. I've had a couple of transactions over the years with Will, and he has shared camera settings with me in the past as well. Great guy!
He will be sorely missed here in the community, and by family & friends for sure.
Condolences to his wife and family.
RIP Will.
Haven't been around to these forums much in recent years but just saw this news. Will was always helpful, kind, informative, interesting... I distinctly remember his rodeo and sandhill crane photos. He was a class act and a great photographer.
"He took great pride in getting photographs straight out of the camera and not using photoshop on any of his photos. He loved to share his knowledge and love of photography as the "trenchmonkey" on various photography forums, such as Fred Miranda (FM) and Nikon Café. The "trenchmonkey" had quite a following on these forums and would provide good solid advice to fellow photographers based on his own real-life experience. He always seemed to add a little punny humor to photographs or comments he posted."
