Oh no. I'm a better photographer now because of his advice. The quality of his work backed up everything he said. His family most assuredly has my condolences.
oh no! I am so sorry! He was so generous with his time and his advice, and I was so happy to finally meet up with him last year at Bosque and his other favorite site. I had thought about going down there this year as well, before the geese and cranes took off. Cancer sucks. My thoughts and love go out to Julie.
Sad news indeed. I didn’t know Will but if I saw his name associated with a thread or response I was always interested in what he had to say as he was informative and to the point. I will miss his Sandhill Crane photos. RIP.
Sorry to hear this. I will miss his contributions and images. Like many others here he helped me out when I was getting started with digital sharing his setup for my D7200 at the time.
Sad news of Will’s passing. I always enjoyed his photos, both of the western/rodeo world and other subjects when he posted those. Although I didn’t know him personally, he was a great member of this community and he will be missed.
Thank you for letting us know. Before I left Nikon about a decade ago for other camera pastures, I always followed threads TM was active in. To me, he was iconically the 200mm f2 VR shooter. I started getting back into Nikon sometime last year and came back to lurk on the Nikon boards. One of the first things I did back here was see if he was still posting - and I was glad to see he was. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.
I had the pleasure of sharing a few brews with Will at BdA. He was an active and helpful member here on FM for a number of years. He will be missed by many of us.
I always hate these types of posts... sad when something like this happens this community has always been so awesome, and as corny as it may sound, I wanted to say to everyone, I hope all is going well. Tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone and as much as someone may piss you off, remember there's one of each of us and forgiving, and kindness goes a long way.
