Bummer, I have been looking to buy the 50mm f/1.4L, but I was waiting for a slight deal from the original MRSP of $1399. Now it is $1499. I wonder if it will drop for black friday or Christmas sales. Not in a crazy hurry to buy one, more of a nice to have item.
On the other hand: B&H had pretty good deals for their Bild expo. I picked up the 24mm RF f/1.8 for $449. Now it is $649 on their website.
I was going to order a 200-800 from B&H this morning and saw the price went op $200. Just ordered from Amazon at the old price. Dodged that $200 bullet
Ouch .... good thing I grabbed an R3 last week brand new for 2999 with an extra battery and memory card... I think Adorama screwed up on the pricing. Now it's over 5k , no thanks at that price.

You're somewhat correct however there's indirect impact of tariffs. The overall cost of refurbished bodies or lenses can increase due to factors like import fees on parts or components used in the refurbishment process.
Remember most refurbished products in the US have been reconditioned here in the US but the parts they have coming in from abroad are subject to tariffs.

Actually Dan a friend of mine works at the Canon service center up in Burbank and nearly all refurbished products that were originally sold here in the US as "new" are reconditioned here in the US. They are not sent back to the "factory" to be reconditioned.

I was told the same by a technician at Canon's Newport News facility.
