Are you assuming that the refurb factory is in the US? That is extremely unlikely.


They are "Used" not "New." Used goods are not subject to tariffs. And, yes, I think these are "refurbished" in the U.S. Most are overstocks and returned merchandise that are simply cleaned, inspected and re-packaged. They are U.S. models and not imported from an overseas refurbishment outfit.


You're somewhat correct however there's indirect impact of tariffs. The overall cost of refurbished lenses can increase due to factors like import fees on parts or components used in the refurbishment process.

Remember most refurbished products in the US have been reconditioned here in the US but the parts they have coming in from abroad are subject to tariffs.
