I had a chance to check one out and I surprisingly like it. The images are amazing and I'm enjoying the aspect ratio and digital crops. I feel like it's a camera to grow into.

I've had the GFX100RF for about a week and I must say it's everything I hoped it would be. I still haven't done anything significant with it, but here are some shots.

What is the user verdict on the AF accuracy? I cannot find it right now, but I seem to recall reading a review where AF accuracy was criticized, but (if I recall right) they were also using slow shutter speeds hand held, so it seemed to me like the reviewer was convolving a bunch of variables.

Going back to this thread as I did not used the 100RF since Fuji gave me a pre release model earlier this year. If it was a 35mm eq I would have purchased it straight away.
Unfortunately being a 28mm eq does not allow me to shoot proper environmental portraits with it like I do with the X100 series... Still hoping for a 35mm version one day though

I only use single point in single shot mode, and it's accurate and faster/less noisy than the X100VI. Single shot with subject detection or eye-AF also works fine. I don't even bother to try continuous AF with tracking these days unless you hand me a new Canon or Sony.

In my experience, accurate enough for landscapes or someone posing, not accurate enough for a fast moving subject.
Amazing landscape camera though - from a recent trip to Croatia:
Full version of this has an insane level of detail

I think 28mm also great for environmental portraits, but of course it's personal preference.

I use the Q2 in crop mode for 35mm, and still have plenty of pixels to work with. Granted, there is a difference between a cropped, wider lens vs. a narrower lens ... but, the diff's aren't so much that I'd feel restricted from using the 35mm lens on the Fuji in crop mode.
Bearing in mind, that it ... IS ... a 35mm lens. Just that the sensor covers a broader amount of real estate, giving it an "eq" of 28mm, similar to that of a 28 fov on ff. But, if you central crop to the same size of a 24x36 FF, you are getting a REAL 35mm, not an "eq", because it is a real 35mm lens. The only diff is then the quanity of pixels, but the pixel density puts you similar to that of FF density, when you crop it to its native 35mm "eq" with a 35mm optic.
I probably could have said that better, but the bottom line is that it is a 35mm optic. Imo, you might want to "re-think" your position about it being a 28mm "eq" against your preference for a 35mm fov (FF). Think of it like a 35mm FF ... with a built-in 28mm WA expansion capability, when you choose a wider portion of the sensor.

Indeed, the GFX100RF in the crop mode is a Sony A7RV with a 35mm F4 lens, disabled IBIS, and possibly a compromised AF (the last is a guess) - no offense meant!😃

Worth noting the 100RF does not have a "35mm crop mode" like the other GFX bodies that results in a hard crop of the RAW file to full frame dimensions. You'd have to do that manually in post.
The digital zoom on the 100RF retains the 4:3 ratio (unless another ratio is selected) as one zooms in digitally. And there's one crop step available between the full sensor and approximate full frame pixel width. I know that's not what was being discussed, but I wanted to make sure there was no confusion about the digital zoom on the 100RF versus "35mm crop mode".

I have had the camera a whole day and a half now. Not trying to form any opinions until I've used it in the wild, but so far the few snaps around the house, I think I'll probably return.
I'm familiar with the sensor having had the 100s for a bit and I do love that, but I think the f4 couple with lack of ibis will be a deal breaker for me. So far in playing around I think I need to have it 1/60th or even 1/120th for me to get consistently sharp photos for capturing quick candids which would be my main use case. Outside it wouldn't be a problem of course, except at night.
I don't know. I want to like it, but right now negatives standing out to me are f4, no ibis, no touch screen, no CFE slot, that fuji autofocus (particularly tracking - stark when this is secondary to an a1ii), and a joystick experience that I'll define as gross.
Positives - size albeit somewhat brick like (kind of like a stockier ZF), lens seems really sharp, I'm a fan of playing with film sims, and that beautiful sensor.
I lean toward a Q2/Q3 I think.
I'm no camera reviewer, those are just my amateurish subjective takes.

were you unaware it was F4 and lacking IBIS?
Nope, I knew. I also knew I can use it for up to 60 days if I wanted and return if it wasn't going to work out for me so I shot my shot. Took it with me around as a EDC and it only took a week to determine I'd rather have an A7CR. Not bashing the camera just decided that wasn't going to fit me.

Only really complaint about this camera is the inability to get files off expeditiously. Hasseblad and Leica can transfer images in a few seconds. This thing is a few minutes.
Other than that, loving it- Even at night-
Why are you selling it?
What didn't you like about it if you don't mind?
