I got mine, I pre-ordered a black version on 4/3/25 from my local camera store. They got 4 total units and I was the fourth one as most people wanted silver. So far I am enjoying the camera as I knew what I was getting and what I wanted out of a camera.

Today's Lightroom update has "Fujifilm GFX 100RF (Final Support)" added for camera support notes. I retested those RAF files I made the gifs of early in the thread, and it does not appear that the default distortion correction has been adjusted since then.

FWIW my order got delivered from amazon, today. I ordered a day after the announcement. The blacks were out and I could order the silver.
Congratulations! What color did you choose?
Was it shipped from Amazon or someone else for Amazon?

More initial impressions ... hoping to help maybe one person lurking and considering whether to buy an RF as their 1st or 2nd fixed lens. Not sure much of this would apply to others.
I've had an X100VI and now a Q2 (I intentionally didn't get a Q3), so that's where I'm coming from. I love specific cameras from Fuji, Leica, Canon, Sony, Ricoh, Nikon (ZF) etc ... so I have little brand bias or loyalty amongst these.
If had an X100 series, I think the RF is a justifiable jump for ~$5K if that's in reach. Justifiable across the board with image quality, design, functionality, and all that. The only thing quality wise I think Fuji dropped the ball on is the "leatherette" grip texture or whatever it is -- doesn't feel premium and is basically the same slippery crap on many other Fuji's (ie X100VI). Grip tape fixes this functionally but aint as pretty. <<---- literally my only complaint about the camera
If I already had a fixed lens like the Q2 (I do) or Q3 .... as a replacement, that's really tough and likely going to come down to design preference and/or the unique features like aspect ratio/cropping, etc.
Size comparison wise to the Q2/3, I feel like most of the initial reviewers were full of $#!T. That's fine, it's always different in person and we have different sized hands and bodies and opinions. ***EDIT I'm not saying the RF isn't compact IMO, it's great for what it is and impressive***
Personally, I think the size difference between the Q and RF is a wash ... the Q Summilux isn't THAT much longer in person, and the RF is taller and bit more deep (body wise). Basically, if walking out the door with both on the shelf, I would never choose one over the other based on compactness. Which I expected the RF to win on this, but well for me it doesn't. If you need to weather seal the RF (adapter+filter) the lens footprint is EXTREMELY close to the already weather sealed Q2/3. Once you put hoods on either, they are basically the same. It actually made me appreciate how "compact" my Q2 was, which I didn't expect.
Replacing the Q2/Q3 with the RF over image quality? For my needs it's not a decision making difference ... I'm not a bad photographer and been shooting for 16 years, so at this point image quality at this level isn't going to have a big impact on me being a better photographer.
Conclusion: for anyone jumping into the $3K-$6K world of fixed lens cameras, I think you have two amazing options between the Q2/3 and the RF. Mad respect to Fuji for pulling this off.

Do yourself a favor. If you shoot an X100 or an RF, put a nice leather half case on it.
100%. This made my X100VI not feel like a toy (compared to others cameras I have) ... due to the added weight and grip. Will grab one for the RF when available.

Smallrig already has a nice looking one, but it comes direct from China so will take a bit to make it over, restock expected next week.

To those of you who already received your GFX100RF's... do you think it could use a grip for more comfort and a little bit of protection?
Just saw that IDS has a new grip for it and considering getting one once my camera arrives (hopefully sometime next week)... now just to choose if I'd want the grip or just the baseplate...

Have the Rf now in use for 4 weeks and really like the camera.I use it mainly out of one hand.In the past I had a Q2 which I sold: mainly because the ergonomics were much worse than the rf : the lens is terrible front heavy and makes it a burden to be used without thumb rest and extra grip.

So you don't feel that a grip is needed on the GFX100RF?
Also... agree with you on the Q ergonomics... I've owned every iteration of that line and always end with he same conclusion that the ergonomics aren't great since it's so front heavy and just doesn't balance well...

Did anyone else preorder from Moment? I placed mine at 7:02 AM EDT on launch day and got an initial email saying they expected to receive units from Fujifilm by the 24th, but since then I've heard nothing, order status hasn't changed since day 1. I've emailed twice in the past week and haven't received any response.

I've had a half case / grip on my Q2. I've used it with / without a thumb grip. I've used them both, I used nothing ... never can seem to come to a place where it really "fits" me. Somedays, I think I should wrap it in gaffer's tape. I appreciate the quality of the "silky" finish, bit it's just a bit slippery at times, imo. I kinda think that where folks are suggesting it is front heavy ... to me, its more like it has a slippery purchase, that makes it seem front heavy, due to such a light purchase.

Having had the GFX a few days now, I don't think it needs a grip. A thumb grip might be nice if it's possible to make one without impeding access to buttons and dials too much, but I can live without that too.
I find the Q3 handling fine, but I agree the GFX is easier to handle one handed and generally fits the hand a bit better. A grip or thumbsup on the Q is mandatory.

Just received mine in silver.
Ordered from Amazon on April 22nd after hearing from B&H that my pre order from March didn’t make the cut. B&H told me that it would be atleast a couple of months.
Amazon fulfilled the order in 8 days.
I did pre order the smallrig Arca Swiss base, hopefully it will, show up soon.
Ordered a tempered glass screen protector from Amazon and that showed up after 2 weeks.
Now to cancel my B&H pre order.
