Ronny, it still puzzles me that you went to a M-4/3 sensor system but you can still come back to a full frame Sony system... 😉😎
Well, here is the answer to your question, K-H..
the answer to your questions is 150-400 and built-in tc 1.25 and 1000mm on fx and then a closest focusing distance of 1.3m
hard to beat with what I like to photograph these days macro and semi-macro even though it is a smaller sensor and some disadvantages with the system..and closest focus distance on their other lens to

but I certainly miss fx sometimes

Thank you Joshua and Ronny.
I agree that m43 150-400 and built-in tc 1.25 lens is very special and quite tempting.
I still have all my m43 gear but am disappointed by the m43 camera offerings.
My favorite camera is the Sony A9 III. I need to pick it up and start shooting again.
Now that hummingbirds are back and benefit from 120 FPS.

Close focusing ability is a big deal for what I shoot - that's why I sold off all of my Nikon Z gear. The OM system is nice, but I soured on it when my brand new 150-400mm f4.5 died the first week I had it.
I find the Sony 100-400 and 200-600 lenses are a nice compromise - they focus reasonably close, are sharper than the Nikon equivalents, and with the A7R V I can shoot in APS-C mode and get close to what I had with the OM 150-400.
