Great hummingbird photo! I do not think I have ever taken a photo of a humming bird a 1/250s that came out anywhere near that sharp.

I was alerted to this construction project by a tick, tick, tick, tick noise. Found these two excavating a nest cavity in a long dead Arbutus tree in my backyard's small patch of forest. Will be fun to watch as the nesting season progresses. I also have man-made nest boxes around the yard but most years they are occupied by chestnut-backed chickadees. Haven't seen a nuthatch use them.

sony a7iv 3 days to finally capture this image, its not perfect but as good as it gets for a live ant that wont stay still not for a second, shot it moving. 100 image stack.
