Canon cameras before PDAF on sensor, meanwhile a pixel is not split into two, have better colour “thickness”, it’s greasy and vivid even when they are less dynamic and noisy.

Nice images, Larry. It's really impressive to see what the D30 was capable of with its 3+ megapixels. Out of curiosity, what kind of bass is that?
Andy
Thanks for the kind words Andy.
I'm sorry but I have no techno geek information on the bass guitar.
I asked a friend to let me borrow it for a day "just to see what I could come up with" with my new camera.

Well, then, in that case... this is certainly not the oldest Canon photo I have, but taken with old (for the time) gear, and pretty meaningful to me: STS-93 Columbia launch July 23, 1999, Canon T90, FD20-30L, Agfa Ultra 50 negative film, about 9 minute exposure, presumably wide open (f3.5).

Comparing the "oldies to the newbies" is great Stan!
THis would be a great entry to the WA/MA Assignment "TECHNOLOGY"...yours and some most recent mirrorless bodies!
Well done!

How old? Well 30-40 years ago with a Canon film camera. Don't remember what model or what dates as these Kodachrome slide conversions don't have EXIF showing that, I don't know. And my memory is of no help.
Toucan was in Costa Rica, moose youngsters and RCMP in British Columbia.

Wow! That Toucan is fabulous Tony! Best wishes for the Holiday Season!
Tamron SP 14/2.8 ASP IF on a Canon 30D (equiv. AoV ~ 22mm).
I had just purchased this lens from Mark Trachtenberg, The Camera Trading Company, 368 Bank St., Ottawa ON (CTC-O). More recently, and somewhat recomposed, CRC-O is now operating out of Perth ON (open Fridays & Saturdays; otherwise, by appointment). The Camera Trading Company (neither of them) was recently not dropped from the Royal Warrants list, by King Charles III.
