Do it! I think you will find that these old files offer something that has been killed in modern files. The more elegant contrast, the warmer colors and rich saturation levels just on the edge of not beeing cartoony.
A skilled colorist can of course replicate this look but back then Canon served it on a silver plate more or less out of the gate. Then the whole DR war started and the tech guys decided to hide shadows and neutralize every hue. "Look how technically accurate this file is! Amazing!"
Eehhm...Yuck! That said, the R5 MK2 seems to be heading in the right direction.

EXACTLY!!! The very very VERY last thing I need is for my camera to look at human skin and think it needs to be technically accurate!! What is needs to be is soft and even.

My "kids" loved their toys! My females would always steal their brother's toys and hide them. My boys didn't like that!!
Great looking "kids" JIm!
Dan
PS BTW- when in Solomon's Is did you get to Lexington Park-Patuxent NAS for the plane displays?

Thanks Dan. Usually went in May or June. Haven't been there is a few years. Never made it to the plane display/shows, but my father would go every year.

I have a 5D that was converted to infrared by the previous owner. I liked it so much I went and converted my 5DmkII to the same 665nm. I still shoot both. These are from the 5D
