This lens had enthusiastic reviews back in 2024. Just wondering how well it has weathered over time. Anyone still using it and loving it, or has it been supplanted by newer alternatives?

It is still my prefered/go to zoom for the FLs it covers. I just used it Saturday.
And I find it very competent against my CV APO Lanthars.
BTW, I don't see any true alternatives in this range, near this aperture, except for the Sony 28-70/2 GM. And similar to the 12-24 GM, Sigma released the 14-24/2.8 before the Sony release. And in that case as well, I didn't sell the Sigma and buy the Sony.
FWIW, I had the Sigma 14-24, 28-45, and Sony 50-150 in my bag on Saturday.

The Sigma 28-45 has a more special rendering that reminded me of the Otus 28 at 28mm. I'd get the 28-70GM solely to use with A9iii for maxFPS AF and to compensate for the lower resolution.

I'm still in love with it and I hope to pair it with the Sony 50-150mm f/2 GM eventually.

Still have this lens, colors and contrast are great (nicer than the 35mm DG II f1.2 in my opinion).
I don't know which lens to keep, this one or the 35mm APO SL.

That’s some praise. I always thought the 35 was the very best of the modern SL primes. Curious what you will decide.
