I have this same pack, the Lowepro Rover Plus AW. It's big, but it allows me to carry a substantial amount of gear and all the extra clothing and survival gear I need for long hikes in the mountains. I can carry rain gear, extra sweaters, gloves, hat, food, and everything I need for medium and high altitude hiking in Colorado's changeable weather. The tripod fits nicely in the dedicated holder which is folded up in this shot. I usually carry the camera, 300 f4/L IS, 17-40L, 70-200L, and the 50 Mk II. There are side pockets and side webbing for bottles. The pack is divided into two main compartments. The camera section has removable and adjustable padding and dividers

Andy are you right clicking on the actual image itself?

After you right click the image, you should get a menu of options and on the bottom you should see one called "Properties".

After you click on that you will see an address. Highlight and copy that address and paste it in this thread and it should work.

If you are using a MAC it may be different though.

Here's my middle sized bag, a Nova 5 AW;

http://lnx.dk/photos/test/gear/N5AW/.cache/800x533-crw_8945.jpg

Besides the Nova I use a TopLoader 70 AW usually with the 1D MkII and either a 35/1.4L, 17-35/2.8L or 24-70/2.8L and sometimes also a 550EX.

My largest bag is the Stealth Reporter 650 AW which I use when I want to bring all my gear (ie. extremely seldom), including the lenses that doesn't fit in the Nova.

I have a 20D with the BG-E2 grip and I need a relatively durable yet inexpensive bag that will fit the 20d + bg-e2 attached.

Any recommendations?

Hi drew23

Maybe try the Nova 3AW - I have it and it can fit my 300D with grip and 28-135IS attached, 24-85, 50mm f1.8 and 420EX, some basic gear along with a deck of cards to boot

You may want to look into though the Nova 4AW or Nova 5AW - odds are you're going to get more lenses/gear over time and will need the space, and the 20D with grip is probably a bit bigger than my punny 300D with grip. I have the Nova 5AW (see my reply to this thread - I can't remember which page though )

Below is the link to the Lowepro website (WARNING - there are many bags and accessories that will catch your eyes fancy - you have been warned )

I just ordered a Tenba P262 from B&H used section "N" condition for $99!

Funny, but this one has not been mentioned in this thread at all... Anyone used it before?

I keep two lenses (usually Sigma 12-24 and 100-300) in Domke pouches inside my Lowepro Stealth Reporter 500, together with a tool belt I bought at Home Depot for ~$4. Once out of the trunk of the car, these two go on the belt, and the bag is a whole lot lighter.

I need a backpack with all three of the following:

(1) Rolling capability (wheels)
(2) Notebook/Laptop Sleeve
(3) Meets airline carry-on size standards.

Two that meet my criteria are:

LowePro Rolling CompuTrekker:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=370629&is=REG

and the Tamrac 5265:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=321685&is=REG

Can anyone recommend either or an alternate solution?

Not exactly a backpack, but

http://www.neonlightsimaging.com/images/PorterCase.jpg

Now that I'll have to start flying Continental's ERJ's (small jets) a lot more, I'm probably going to replace this with Moose Peterson's MP-1 backpack. I think it'll fit in the overhead of that tiny aircraft. It's only got 3 seats per row, and only the right side has overhead bins.

Took some pics w/ the p&s and threw this together quickly. This is the '05 Burton zoom with carrying straps for a snowboard.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/je398/burton%20zoom/IMG_0214.jpg
Under the board carrying straps, there is also a panel with compression straps where a jacket or tripod can be fitted and carried.

Access to the camera and lenses is underneath the back padding which is opened using 2 zippers.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/je398/burton%20zoom/IMG_0219.jpg

Once opened, there is a snow gaiter which is permanantly attached at the top of the pack with a velcro fastener at the bottom. This can be rolled up and velcroed out of the way. The back padding/pannel also has pockets for filters, etc...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/je398/burton%20zoom/IMG_0221.jpg

A look inside. Hopefully a Canon 70-200mm f2.8 will replace that Tamron 75-300mm soon.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/je398/burton%20zoom/IMG_0223.jpg

Cables and remote stashed in larger side pocket. On the bottom of both sides are smaller pockets with three elastic bands to hold film canisters. Instead, One pocket is holding CF cards and the other, a spare battery and 2 sets of AA's for the flash.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/je398/burton%20zoom/IMG_0217.jpg

There is also a medium sized pocket on top with a smaller internal pocket for your valuables. There's enough room in there for a rolled up rain coat, sack lunch, etc...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/je398/burton%20zoom/IMG_0225.jpg

The pack is really comfortable despite the waist straps being somewhat thinner than most other packs. I think they are mainly for hugging the pack to your back rather than dispersing weight. Burton is sold out for this year but you can find it through froogle/google. On ebay, it's going for $130-140 at closing bids, but I got mine from www.usoutdoor.com for 96 dollars, no tax, free s/h.
I also have the tamrac expedition 7 which is built like a tank and is quite heavy even with the same gear shown above, but that is for all my future purchase and will be used for travel. The Burton zoom is comfortable and perfect for me to use on day treks.

Did you use your own inserts or did it come with those? Sweet set-up.
