I was able to spend some time with the Pumas in Patagonia last month. It was probably one of the most exhilarating experience of my life and I cannot wait to go back again.
there are so many experiences and stories that include the bitter sweet one that gave us the privilege and the honor of naming a few weeks old puma cub, which will follow later.
Our guide was unbelievable and had an uncanny sense of puma behavior and is a puma whisperer. We will most certainly go back again

1 - Amarga the female puma who was drinking water after feeding, suddenly realized that she left the kill unguarded, sprinting back

2- sub adult chasing the chimangos (caracara) so that they do not give away the location of the carcass

3 - there I almost got you...

4- Coiran the mother with Torres del Paine in the bacground

5- Amarga with the tail used for balancing sprinting to the carcass.

6- Amaraga full of energy

7- oof that look

8- Carnasa - walking within close proximity, both the puma and I on the ground with nothing in between

9-portrait

10- can you spot Fierra the female puma?

11- female walking by

12 - stop and take the time to smell the flowers

Wonderful shots. Do you know if there have been any attacks on humans there? We have been having some issues up here in the NW, esp. with mountain bikers. I don't worry much unless there have been recent sightings in the area, then Itry to keep my eye out when riding.

These are fantastic KD ! Just an incredible set of images. What an experience and I'm so happy for you. I'm like a few others, these give me goosebumps just looking at them. The first thing I noticed was the size of their paws. What a powerful and beautiful cat. Congrats, and well done Bud ! Did I vote, you bet I did !

Stunning photos. I went to Patagonia last October, had some photos of pumas. But they are no match to yours. I also want to go back. Having said that, may I ask the name of the guiding service you used? Thanks.
