Beautiful images. I have been to Patagonia several times, but only for landscape photography. I was fortunate to see a couple of pumas on my most recent trip though, but I did not take photos - just watched them.

It was a surreal experience, buddy. I have to admit that wildlife photography experience cannot get better than this.

Wonderful shots. Do you know if there have been any attacks on humans there? We have been having some issues up here in the NW, esp. with mountain bikers. I don't worry much unless there have been recent sightings in the area, then Itry to keep my eye out when riding.
From what I know there have been no attacks on humans
Up until recently pumas were hunted to almost eradication and as such they are very scared of humans
I have no experience of how they would react to people on bikes
The ranch we went to do not allow bikes

These are fantastic KD ! Just an incredible set of images. What an experience and I'm so happy for you. I'm like a few others, these give me goosebumps just looking at them. The first thing I noticed was the size of their paws. What a powerful and beautiful cat. Congrats, and well done Bud ! Did I vote, you bet I did !

thanks a lot buddy. This has been one of the most immersive wildlife experiences for me. hope all is well with you
To coin an overused word... your work here is iconic! I am amazed by the many varied compositions, gestures, and behaviors you captured. Your heart must have been pounding something fierce when you photographed the pumas running towards you and the camera.

Stunning photos. I went to Patagonia last October, had some photos of pumas. But they are no match to yours. I also want to go back. Having said that, may I ask the name of the guiding service you used? Thanks.
thanks so much. appreciate your viewing and commenting

I really need to get out there and experience that! What focal length are you shooting those ridge line shots in front of the peaks at?
Matt
indeed this has been the most gratifying experience in wildlife photography and just being with these ultra rare big cats was so intense.
PM me to discuss my future trips there
