Blue-tailed Bee-eater - just snatched the bee out the air as the bee flew past. By the time I realised what was going on I was a fraction too late to catch a frame with the bee flying. One time I wasn’t half pressing for pre-capture ! A9iii + 300 @600mm
The bees wing is still buzzing in the first couple of frames - shutter speed was only 1/1250s
Hi Duncan.
Your images cost me 6K ! Envy your talent!
Have you installed the latest firmware for the A9 iii and if so, have you noticed any changes...good or bad.
Thanks, Richard

You are about to find out that 6K can buy a lot of talent !
Yes I did install the FW3 and it seems to work the same as before.
Thank you! I had a Canon R5 and was so excited waiting for the R52...disappointed to say the least. Sold my Canon stuff and decided to spend 2K more than I ever have for any camera stuff and see what the A1-2 brought to the table. Again I felt let down and so I bought the A9-3. I knew there were significant gaps with 20 fps and really wanted to try at least 60 fps and even 120 fps. More megapixels would have been nice but with Gigapixel, I can get really nice images from my A7R5 using the 70-350 G lens in crop mode for a light hiking setup. I'm in my mid eighties and don't know how long I'll be able to hike with camera stuff so the A9-3 seems perfect.
