I guess it's much more difficult to tweak the VM 28/1.5 design in order to adapt it to Sony FE / Nikon Z mounts and maintain same performance. Tweaking the 75/1.5 (if any tweaking was required) should have been easier.
I'm not so confident we'll see a CV Z 28/1.5.
I think it would be a good seller in Z-mount as the 40/1.2 in Z has been selling really good (backordered pretty much everywhere) and I think 28/1.5 would pair nicely with that. If the current VM is difficult to tweak for some reason I think they could always modify the optical design to some extent. I think the VM version works pretty decently on my Sony cameras as it is but would be better if fully optimized for the sensor.
The RF mount 28/1.5 might be a bit more challenging for Cosina I think because of the color shading issues they have with some of their RF mount lenses on many RF cameras. I suppose those issues would get worse with the wider angle lenses. So far they have nothing wider than 40mm for Canon RF.

I also added a Fuji X camera to my set last year (a 2nd hand X-S10) but only to be able to get the CV X-mount lenses for it. I have 6 of them now (only missing the 35/0.9). I'm still keeping Sony as my main system and the only one where I also have native AF lenses. My 3rd system is Sigma fp but I no longer have native L-mount glass. Could still use it with adapted lenses though.
It was actually my (almost) 11yo son that made my heart melt and buy the Fuji X-T30 II, when he asked if he could learn to photograph and go outside with me to shoot pictures together(!). But I didn't have two cameras, just the A7III. And for some time now I've been wanting a Fuji as it's a brand I've missed for years, after switching to the "dark side". Now I bought this new Fuji camera and XF 33mm f/1.4 and fell for it completely. And my son loves to shoot with it as well. I really don't need the GM quality and especially their size for my photography and have been wanting smaller lenses. For Sony it's always been the Voigtländer that's been "my thing". Will keep it just for that.

Love this! I assume you were outside and they were performing by the window?
Yep! That has become my signature shot...I first started doing it at another jazz club as it was the only way I could get good shots of the drummer and bass player there, and at night there are lots of amazing window reflections from the street, plus flares from the lights on stage, and it all mixes into a hallucinating mess. A lovely mess when it works out right. The musicians tend to love these shots.

Do you have examples of that composition taken with the CV 28/1.5?

Hi Fred -- the example I posted was shot with the CV 28/1.5; see my post above. But if you mean you're looking for examples shot at the other jazz club where I often shoot through the window, I haven't taken any there with this lens because the musicians aren't as close to the window and I find 50mm or higher works better for those shots.

That makes sense. Perhaps a 50mm focal length is more appropriate for these scenes. I will keep an eye out for more images like these from you.

What is your typical everyday lens now? And what film stock did you shoot on?
Having multiple lenses with the same focal length has its pros and cons. Personally, I rotate them monthly and also switch between different focal lengths like 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, and even ultra-wide lenses. I don’t have a single favorite lens because I value each one for its unique qualities. The downside is that it can be confusing to choose just one or two lenses at a time, but it largely depends on the intended use.
For film, I don't have a strong preference but usually shoot with Portra 400 or 160. I also like the budget-friendly Fuji 200 and 400 stocks.
