The M11 and M11M are probably peak M for me.

I was thinking about this the other day ... wondering what the M13, M14 and M15 (yes, I skipped the M12) can bring to the table (other than new sensors), and still keep it an M that isn't techno-adds, yet being worth a new release $$$.
As to the matter of the EVF in an M ... I see it the same as any other variant model. Meaning, the RF will remain the standard model, and first to release. Subsequent offerings (-M, -P, -collector editions, etc.) could make ONE such offering (-E), have an EVF variant model, and still retain the RF in all the other models. I know that there is the VIsoflex, but it would be nicer to have the VF in the corner of the body, rather than atop the hotshot (think Fuji GFX-R).
Imo, the EVF will eventually work its way into an M model ... BUT, only as a special edition variant, not to supplant the heritage of the rangefinder of the M.
Personally, I wouldn't complain if the LCD could tilt to be used like a waist level finder. That, or make a "bigger" visoflex that could be more like a ground glass view from the top (as long as we're dreaming). I realize that this is "odd man out" kind of stuff, but there are times that I want to be "disengaged" from my surroundings, and absorbed into the process. Yes, I realize this is exactly the opposite of how the RF allows you to be "engaged" to the surroundings by being able to see outside the frame lines ... so, that is kind of "antithetical" to the basic understand of why using a rangefinder is different from other approaches.
I just would like to have a waist level experience in the same ecos ... yet, still be shooting my M lenses (on a native M mount). Pretty sure this won't happen, but one can wish for a waist level M.
So, yeah ... what is going to be the roadmap into M13, M14, M15. Maybe the M11 is going to be a strong "plateau", with only smallish peaks afterwards (sensor resolution) for many folks. Of course, Leica will come up with "something" to dangle new carrots with (still retaining the M heritage).
