I said something about these elsewhere, but the statement continues to stand... these are lovely. I especially like the pair of lorikeets, as their interaction makes the image compelling.

Again, thank you ever so much, Bruce. Much appreciated!

Geez that's not encouraging. I ordered it last week and was told worst case end of 1st quarter to expect it. I said so perhaps worst case April? He said almost certainly. Considering he also said they had 1200 backordered and knowing how they just trickle in it's not sounding too good.

If you're relying on big distributors like B&H and Adorama, you might have a very long wait. I suggest that you look at smaller stores that will ship. There are a few in TX, CO, and elsewhere that may have stock that does not move as quickly as B&H. In addition, I've seen a few on the buy-sell board selling for the list price... so long as you're not being gouged, I don't see why buying used is a bad idea as well.

100%.
I understand the draw of the Payboo card, but B&H is the worst place to order short supply new product.

It’s a smaller, local shop I’m waiting on. I have the 800 PF, so it’s not an emergency.

In having the 100-400 and being quite happy with it, I also feel the same way in terms or waiting. I put an NPS order in via B&H last week, figuring World Cup skiing is not until March so I might be ok.
I also question if I really *need* it or not considering the limiting factor of the slower light gathering.
