Thanks. A200 is not covering the whole sensor on Q3 43, so you might need to use 50mm crop x 1.5x on Q2... I just checked. Q3 behaves worse with tele converters compared to Q3 43... It showed more edges with Sigma 1.2x tele converter that is nearly perfect with Q3 43 withno fringing, etc. Again these converters are designed for tele lenses which has more straight light rays than wider lenses...

Nice samples! Coincidentally, I just bought an A200 1.5x for my Q2. I'm curious to see how it performs at 43mm. 😃
Going through images after selling my Q2 Reporter. Bad idea.
Beach photos from quick trip to Cancún at end of pandemic. We usually rent a house in Tankah Bay j(ust north of Tulum) if we want a trip to a warm place in February, but decided to avoid the drive and try an all-inclusive. Beautiful location that felt like Disney World. But it served its purpose.
Took my new Q3 43 for a spin last night in Minneapolis! Coming from the Q2's 28mm (26mm) lens, I just love the framing and composition you get with this. Some of this is probably the buzz of a new shiny toy but the picture I see in the EVF is the one I'm seeing with my eyes and the additional reach is lovely.
These pictures are all SOOC with the only editing being some leveling or keystoning. All colors, contrast, exposure, etc are right out of the device. Not cropped in at all. I'm very impressed by what this camera produces without any post-processing.

Browsing these is very pleasing for a former Q/Q2 owner contemplating Q3. Not been on any big travel in 5 years and need to pick one up. The heart says Q3 43 but the brain says Q3 28 lol.

They did an M11M already with the same class of sensor so don't see why not.
Q-P came 42mo after Q
Q2-M came 20mo after Q2
Q3 was released 2023.05.25, so could see some sort of variant release this year, unless Q3 43 takes that slot up?
The M11 doesn't need an AF array though. The Q3 mono would - and because the PDAF is generally integrated into the bayer array, they would have to develop something new, or make the Q3 mono contrast-detect only which would be a step backwards in performance, similar to the contrast detect only Q2 bodies.
I went from a Q2 to a Q343 and I can’t say it’s for everyone but it definitely seems to be for me. Some people really like and know how to work with the wide angle of the 28mm (actually 26mm) lens and I’m not one of them. I always felt with the Q2 like I was too far away from everything, or I’d have to get uncomfortably close to subjects to get an image I’m happy with. With the Q343 at least so far, I feel like I’m getting the frames/compositions I’m looking at with my eyes, and at more comfortable distances.
I won’t be able to get the same sweeping wide landscapes but I’ve shot extensively with 35/50 on my Sony before moving to Leica and the 43 feels very familiar to me.
One thing I will say is the minimum focusing distance is quite long on the Q343 and that’s a bit jarring coming from the Q2.
Another SOOC shot from the Q3 43. Great natural lighting helped a lot here obviously, but I also love how smoothly the focus falls off at wide-open aperture.
