Are they a reputable place?
I have not done business with them myself, but doing a Google search it looks like they have good reviews, and they are definitely on Nikon’s official authorized dealer list so we aren’t talking about one of the Brooklyn NY gray market rip off joints.

There will be more videos about Z8, and "other things", what those "other things" are, we all may have own imaginations...mine is, Z90 with 200-600...😜

I don't even care about this stupid functionality but here you go, downloaded the webcam software, relaunched teams and started a meeting, it works great with zero lag. Next!

Again, if the Z8 has a bug, I'd expect an update to either the Nikon software or Teams/Zoom to fix that. This is basic stuff these days in terms of support and functionality.
In case someone wants to use their Z camera to enhance their video conferencing, here is a how-to video I found

Nikon's software works, and is probably better now than the first time I used it. At that time, all the software I tried (there are third-party solutions as well) had some glitches.
The _best_ way to do this is an HDMI / USB-webcam converter. No special software required, the device is recognized as a webcam and any software like OBS, Zoom, Teams will automatically pick it up.
The cheap ones have any number of issues. I'm using an older Atomos device, no longer sold, the current Atomos device is the Nexus. I'd go with that.

Thanks to everyone's input a few pages back I decided to grab a Z8, longtime Nikon shooter but Z6 has been my only mirrorless experience (outside of MFT) so this should be an interesting journey to say the least. Had it not been for the glowing reports of the Z9 over the past couple years I think this decision would have been harder, but Nikon was smart to follow the D3/D700 formula (actually they improved upon the formula as there were a lot more differences with D700 especially with layout and control!) and basically make a Z9 in a mid-size body alleviating the usual questions of how good will the sensor be, how good is the AF and so forth, the biggest question seems to be battery life and I usually have around 4 batteries for most situations so will likely do the same again, but if I need another battery for a days worth of shooting it's not the end of the world (I may strap one of my USB battery backups to my tripod and see how well the new USB-C PD port works). UPS says I'll have my Z8 by tomorrow afternoon so will get to play with it over Memorial Day weekend.

It does. I put the extra one from my Z9 on my Z8 today.

Anyone know if the Z8 will use the same screen protectors as the Z9? I have an extra set sitting around so would be nice to be able to use it.

Manny Ortiz had a video out on the Z8 and make a comment that he had gotten about 1,700 images on one battery at a baseball game shoot. Sounds promising if you don't use battery-hog features.
