Yes, I am getting similar results from those Topaz products.
BTW, I recollect that several years ago, on one of these forums, a couple of guys insisted to me that removing noise or grain from a digitized slide was not possible.
Well, it is now. Topaz *does* remove the noise (or grain?) from most of these scanned slides.
But also Mike, I must say that on some of my slides I am not able to remove all the noise. Just yesterday Topaz failed to clean a slide to the extent that I was happy with it. So... we're still learning Mike.

The funny thing is it wasn't intentional. I had just had nachos at Barnacle Bill's (the best dive bar in Hermosa Beach with surprisingly good food), the portion is so massive that after eating until I couldn't eat any more there was still 1/2 left. So I took that with me and waddled onto the beach to get some air/exercise to help digestion.
I always have a camera w me - just happened to be the Nikon N80 - and thought innocently 'well, that gull looks hungry, I'll give him a nacho'.
I swear at that moment there was only one gull. The moment the nacho hit the sand - gull-ageddon. And then I realized how lucky it was I picked the N80 that day, because w the af etc I could hold my nachos in one hand, and snap away with the other.

Masai Mara 1980 on my honeymoon.....Olympus OM-1 (I think) and manual focus pentax 100-300....scanned with Nikon Coolpix 5000 and cleaned up in Photoshop. I hope those are all correct...it was quite awhile ago!
