Vulture over Casco Bay, Maine

This image is made up of two Kodachrome 64 slides. They were physically removed from their mounts and sandwiched together into one mount... and then scanned years later.

The vulture was shot over the Everglades and that Island is Brother's Island, Gulf of Maine

Probably shot with a Nikon F3 and 300 F4 EDIF

T2 was known among some drivers back then as the Rectal Pucker Capital of Minnesota. My old Datsun could touch 130 mph there, but I did take a Formula Atlantic Ralt through it at 150mph and then I knew why it got it's name.

Kodak Kodachrome 25, F2 and 180mm. Restored from a near terminal mold attack.

Nice job with the panning and restoration! Are you sure that was 1986? Canon released the EOS line in 1987...

Here's one of Damon Hill in 1995 while he was giving an interview at one of the race weekends that summer. Canon EOS-1 or 1N with 70-200/2.8 and looks like a touch of fill flash. Don't recall the film at the moment, but possibly Ilford Delta 100.

You're right, it was 1987. I believe this is the car Adam Carolla owns.

Reviving an old thread, to post this deal:

Ilford Photo ILFOSOL 3 500ml USA/CAN -

$8.27

https://electronics.woot.com/offers/ilford-photo-ilfosol-3-500ml-usa-can-12

If you don't know about woot, it started off independently and offering a few items till they sold out, using snarky descriptions. They got really successful, and Amazon bought them out.

I have my Nikon Z7ii & Tamron Z 90mm Macro set up copying my old redwoods NP images and every once in awhile I want to double check that my technique and setup is getting the most it can. So I grab some Ektachrome slides that were better kept and still in great condition to double check things. Also that I know were tripod based and mostly infinity focused. I ran them through my usual procedures, but the sawmill image I also made some Pure Raw 6.5 adjustments that I liked and can apply to any of my NEF scans if I wish.

These images taken with Nikon F and 50mm f1.4 lens

Good Afternoon,

Just got my new-to-me Canoscan FS-4000US up and running with VueScan. The photo, taken on Kodachrome 64, was along Highway 46, just outside of Paso Robles (CA). Just beyond this site was a small memorial to the actor James Dean, who lost his life in a head-on crash while behind the wheel of his Porsche Spyder (550). BTW, this was shot by me just before a change-of-station from Edwards AFB to Kirkland AFB in 1976. Gear used was a Canon F1n and FD 35mm f2 SSC.

Regards,

Edd

Good Afternoon,

Last weekend I picked up a Canon FTb (first version) with a 50mm f1.4 SSC lens attached, in working order at a local flea market. There was an exposed roll of Plus-X still sitting inside, so I decided to develop it this morning. To my surprise, it looks like the photos were taken somewhere along the New England coastline. Here are two that are decent, considering that they were probably taken more than 40 years ago...

Regards,

Edd
