Any clues as to when this will be released or begin shipping? I've received no word and BH won't say anything as well.
Thanks for any info.

I had the 35 mm Distagon, sold it cause of the size, currently using the CV 35 1.2 mm III quite happy with it, but it could be a little sharper more microcontrast like the Zeiss. Thinking about the new FLE because I really use the close focus a lot. Is there anybody who can post some comparison pics from the CV 35 1.2 III and the new Summilux?
They sent me a shipping label and I have returned it. I will update when I hear back from them. I have a feeling it’s going to a long time before I get a replacement. This is a problem. There is a 2022 listed on EBay and in their pictures of the lens the aperture blades are messed up.

Ah maybe that’s why about 2-3 weeks ago I received an info from my dealer that for the time being Leica has stopped taking orders for FLE 2, and will halt any shipment and sales of the lens until further notice. There’s gotta be a bad production batch or some errors in the manufacturing process that need to be rectified.

How does everyone like their FLE II compared to I? Worth getting?
There aren't many out in the wild yet due to the production issues. Leica has paused production and is not taking further orders for the lenses due to this.
Since production has stopped, and basically the B&H wait list useless, what are my other options for a 35mm for a M11 other than the $8k Summicron APO? Leica Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH? Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH. Lens The Voiglander 35mm f2 APO? Thanks guys...I will admit I don't know much about Leica lenses so any help much appreciated!

Voigtlander has a new 35mm f1.5 Nokton that should be releasing next week. Modern optical design with 4 aspherical surfaces and no floating element. Will be interesting to see how it performs in real-world testing. Could be a great budget fast 35mm. You're also not going to find a Leica 35 APO anytime soon, production is extremely limited on those as well. The original Leica 35mm FLE is still a great choice, I've been considering it myself. I'll probably get the new Voigtlander and get the new Leica 35 FLE II next year once they resolve the production issues. If you don't need f1.4, the Voigtlander 35 Ultron v2 is excellent, it's an f2 lens that is a very worthy competitor to the Leica 35mm Summicron ASPH. I have it and really like it, super compact and really good performance with some nice light character. I probably don't need another 35mm right now so I may skip the new Voigtlander and just shoot my current Voigtlander Ultron until the Leica production issues on the new 35mm Summilux get sorted out.

Boy, such a small, light and awesome f stop. Thanks for the suggestion ArchnemeSwiss!
I have the Summilux 35 FLE, the Zeiss Distagon ZM 35 1.4, the Light Lens Lab 8 Elements Replica 35mm f2, and the CV 35 1.4 v2.
I just love the CV 35 1.4 v2! It also is tiny and fast. And cheap. Buy one used and keep it as a hold over until you get whatever you are waiting for. If you sell it, you'll get your money back (if you buy it used). But most prob you'll hold onto it.
I think Fred has compared its rendering as similar to the Leica 35mm steel rim.

They are shipping the new version of the 35 Summilux again. I have one coming from Meister Camera in Germany. Will be here in the US next week.
