I received my adapter today. Big disappointment. I cannot mount any of my M lenses (C Sonnar, C/V 4.5/15, Distagon 1.4/35ZM), not even the dumb adapters C/Y to M or Nikon to M. It is impossible to turn the lenses.
The lens cap however works.
Has anybody experienced such a problem, how did Techart handle the warranty procedure?

Check if one of the springs supposed to hold the lens in place looks like this:
Thanks, but that's not the case. The springs all look fine. It feels like I can't push the lens deep enough into the mount. It doesn't even turn a little bit.

I don't have any Leica mount lenses, but two adapters for stacking SR and M42 mount. When I put my stacking adapter into the TechArt I can't turn the adapter. I need to hold down the lens release button on the TechArt and then I can turn the stacking adapter into place.

Thanks, but doesn't help either. Also, the adapter fits extremely tight on my A1. I had to apply a lot of force to get it off. I will not try this again.
The AF works great when I hold a lens in front of the adapter. Loading firmware was not a problem. Electronically all is fine, mechanically it's not.
This LM-EA9 was ordered on October 11, shipped November 10 via Fedex from Hongkong, arrived in Germany November 14.
I wonder, if anybody else who has got one in the same time frame, experienced similar problems. Is it just my copy that is bad or is it a problem of a whole batch?
Here is an update to my story. I got no response from China on my mails, don't know if I ever will get one.
Because an important journey is coming up, I decided to open the adapter. As you can see, there are noses-pieces on the inner mount around the springs. These are too long. After I shorted them all a little bit, all is fine. Lenses and adapters can be mounted and they fit perfectly as it should be.
The adapter works fine, even with a CZ 3.4/35-70.

Good that you got it working at least! It's a bit worrying that it required some tinkering to do so.
I expect that Techart has quite a backlog of customers to serve at the moment. I got an update from them that their factory is located in Guangzhou, China which continues to be under a Covid-19 outbreak, as Bastian had mentioned 10 days ago. No shipments are going out. They hope for the quarantine to end next week so they can resume shipping.
I'm wondering if it will make a difference in accuracy and speed. I noticed a difference when testing it with the A7R3, A9 and A74 where the A9 and A74 gave me better results.

That's one possibility, and the one I hope for! The other is that it pretty much won't work, and that Techart will take forever to release a firmware update to make it work...
I received the adapter last week and luckily was able to have the long Thanksgiving weekend to play around with it. I'm using it on my A7IV with the Leica 40mm f2 Summicron-C, a tiny little lens, even with the adapter it's smaller than my other small lens, the Sigma 45i. The adapter is a really neat piece of kit, though quite pricey at $400, which could be spent on another lens itself.
The AF behavior with the Leica 40/2 is as Bastian described in his review--only accurate within the central part of the image. It uses Eye-AF within that central zone, but it drops it outside of that, which I found to be a bit problematic for composing many shots.
I would like to use this with the Voigtlander 40/1.2 or 50/1.2, but I haven't seen whether these lenses only AF well within the central portion of the image. Has anyone tried these two?
