Orders in along with the 38mm.. I love the 45p and this 38 is much faster and only 16 mm (0.65") longer, 30g heavier. I think this is going to make an amazing walk-around combo.

I am curious to see how XCD V lenses operate on the X1D/907x and if there's any speed improvements there.. a 907x + 38mm (or even the new 55) would be pretty awesome.

I know this is just me, but there is something funny about using a 100mp mf camera as a casual walk around device.

7-stop IBIS. Well done!
1TB internal storage.

I hear ya..! I used the gfx100s for a bit in this manner but without a 45p equivalent it became pretty annoying. I think the new XCD V lenses are definitely going to be far better ergonomically than those chunker GFX lenses.

This does look amazing, honestly! I can see a lot of things that I think Sony should pick up
The big display, internal storage and top display.

And those lenses with the manual focus push/pull ring that reveals a focus distance scale! Fujifilm take note for your GF2 line

Agree on the big LCD screen, internal storage would he a nice to have for me but I’d take extra dials over a top display. What I would love above all else though is for a FF sensor that captures 16bit images.

Fuji did this with a couple of their XF primes. It was a love-hate from a lot of customers and eventually they dropped it. I think they opted for full-time MF override instead.

Anyway, I will never buy this... but I can still drool over it.

My Olympus M43 lenses had that. I thought it was a very cool design feature.

I'd be fine with Fujfilm having a line of retro GF lenses that dropped AF completely.

It is good to see the Hasselblad medium format finally becoming more refined and living up to its potential.

So in your experience what kind of lifespan can one expect out of the likes of the leaf shutter in this new Hasselblad? Hard to imagine spending all that dough and having the shutter die a premature death. Can it last say 400,000 or are they a lot more sensitive.

The shutter is in the lenses - so the body would be unaffected.

I'm not sure there's a good, official answer to that question, but this is about as good as we can get..

"Hasselblad XCD System lenses: The warranty duration is 12 months or 1,000,000 exposures, whichever comes first."

Source - https://www.hasselblad.com/support/hasselblad-usa-warranty-and-service-terms/

So they're warrantying them up to 1MM actuations, within a 12-month period. Obviously, very few will every do that level of shooting.

Of note, is the H series lens warranty (orange dot, anyways)

"Hasselblad H System lenses (Orange Square): The warranty duration is 24 months or 1,000,000 exposures, whichever comes first."

I imagine the longer warranty period (24 months) is to satisfy the more commercial-level / professional users of the H-series..

Make of that what you will.. but I think the leaf shutters on the XCD cameras will probably outlive the usefulness of the platform. Keep in mind we still have many V-series lenses that are 30-40+ years old working perfectly fine with their original leaf shutters.

Just pre-ordered directly from Hasselblad's website...seemed like that might be the quickest way to receive it (30-45 working days)...and was not charged tax...hmm...

Anyways, time to list my GFX 100s and lenses...
