Just got mine a few days back, have to admit it’s great to be back with a 400mm f2.8 lens. Just one outing so far on a rainy gloomy morning. Got this shot of Indian Pitta sitting on the ground under a tree, light was terrible but f2.8 really shone! Can’t wait to take it to Yellowstone next week.

Looks good and congratulations!! Myrtle Beach here, Spartanburg is not that far from here! Best of luck with the new 400, it's an awesome lens!!
Thank you! Amazing captures you have there. Yeah, haven't been to Myrtle in a few years, need to make a trip. Thank I am enjoying the lens so far. I got it thinking I may use it over my 600 tc. I am quickly learning they both are every special in their own way. I originally was going to choose and sell one of them but I may have to get rid of the 800pf. The wife is going to kill me.

Hahaha yeah that could happen spending that much! I have the 800pf as well and for some reason this year the birds are further away so using that more, last year it was the opposite at Huntington Beach State Park anyway!
