In November 2012, I traveled by local trains to the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo for the Ginkgo Festival. I photographed in the station and trains, something I seldom did, but the images seemed to tell a story... Tokyo Transit

I got up at about p730hrs but way to late for morning sun hitting just right. Had to walk about 3/4mile across the field to get to these freshly cut and baled summer wheat/grain. It was hot and very humid. I was drenced by the time I got there.
I am not that happy with the Canon 18-300 lens on a 5DSr. Not sharp OMHO. Some yes some no...have to find a sweet spot in all focal lengths.
This is my street! It's summer grain harvest time here.

Dan, I really like these images, are these from Maryland? And, if so, where? I grew up in Baltimore around the harbor but left when the draft came calling.

Charlie, yes they are from where I live now in Frederick County. The farm is vacant.
PS I attended Towson St. College(University) in 1965-1967 was drafted while in school, and returned in 1973 to finish my degree on Uncle Sam. Lived in NE Baltimore City-E. Northern Pky from 1971 till 1979 Overlea area. And commuted to DC everyday, 3am.
Ate at Connelly's all the time... That went fast, Connelly's, also! .Little Italy Don't get me started??
