I got up at about p730hrs but way to late for morning sun hitting just right. Had to walk about 3/4mile across the field to get to these freshly cut and baled summer wheat/grain. It was hot and very humid. I was drenced by the time I got there.
I am not that happy with the Canon 18-300 lens on a 5DSr. Not sharp OMHO. Some yes some no...have to find a sweet spot in all focal lengths.
This is my street! It's summer grain harvest time here.
Love the vignetting Danny!
Also cloud to cloud lightening...somewhat rare!!

Below, if there was ever a image of an "All American Boy" the "L.T" was it. Friend to everyone, high school football star, played in the h.s. band, and answered the call upon graduation from college. I was part of the combined militray operation when he was KIA. The Navy Cross just doesn't do it for him! CMOH is his due,
My childhood friend, role model, neighbor and served with as a requested Operation Dewey Canyon associate.

Dan, I really like these images, are these from Maryland? And, if so, where? I grew up in Baltimore around the harbor but left when the draft came calling.
Per my PM Charlie..... I am retired AF and my dad was in the Army Air Force and was a B29 mechanic on Tinian Island during the war.
Members please excuse my invasion here off topic but Charlie's 4th of July thread was locked for obvious reasons so I will post them here for him.
Thanks to all your family for their service Charlie!

Thanks Dan. I also mentioned to him that two of my uncles on my wife's side of the family volunteered to be Kamikaze and were accepted but they both survived the war since the war ended before their time came up. All were honorable men who I respected greatly.
