Thanks all for your comments. Lived in Balto til I was 20, then the military came calling and I then lived around the world (Japan, UK, Middle East). I went to school in the inner city, roamed around "The Block" in my youth, my dad was a fireman on a fireboat in the harbor. Of course, I have watched the Wire many times, I can probably tell you some back stories. I'll have to post some images from Fell's Point. Dan, if you go there, get a drink at Eat Bertha's Mussels, an Irish pub there, near Lil Italy. Me, I go for the crabs.
I now live in Colorado but every few years we make what we call "the Loop", usually dipping down into the south heading east, always up the Chesapeake Peninsula (family history) and around to Baltimore, then home. Covid has kinda screwed that up but we are planning the next loop.

Yeah I went to Towson St(drafted right out in 1966),seems the Uncle Sam got many of us that year despite exemptions.... and taught at Dunbar HS for 1 year!! That was enough brother!!!!! Know "the Block" VERY well and
Lived in Gardenville many years and ate at Berthas's many times!
used to eat on the Harbor at Connolly's!!

I mentioned that every few years we make a loop back east from Colorado and that I have some images from Fells Point in Baltimore, so I thought I would throw these up. Back in 2008 we made such a loop and went to the Fells Point Festival. Here are some images.

I notice a Q2M and I think I read that you may have some of the same issues about the Q as I do. Great camera but for me I prefer a rangefinder and good DoF scales. So are you maybe thinking about an M 10 Mono at some point?
Just stunning images! Excellent tones...stunning captures of life on the streets. I believe the little olde lady has some stories to tell! A sweetheart!
