Vello wired Shutter Boss seems to function normally at its baseline. haven't tried the other functions yet.
pearstone wired works.

All 10-pin accessories should work, but I have found it trickier to screw into the Z9 compared to the D850, it has been a two-handed operation of pressing the accessory firmly into the socket at just the right orientation while simultaneously trying to get the finicky threads started, but eventually it catches and screws in just fine and locks up tight. So far I have used the Vello FreeWave Micro Wireless, and finally gave in and plunked down the cash for the superb Nikon WR-R11a/WR-T10 Remote Controller Set.
thanks. I think both of my remote are broken. One can be screwed in ok but pressing button does not do anything and the other one while working, I just can't screw it in and tighten it. Have not used either in a long time since I sold my D850 years ago. WR-R11a is the one that I used to have but currently can't find where I put it
I got 10 shots with the kingfisher in full view behind all the branches and 7 more shots of bits and pieces of the kingfisher sticking out behind the leaves, all still in focus.

Hello everyone! Hope you've all been doing well. I took an extended break from online forums however I am happy to be back. After a very long and thorough evaluation process that mostly consisted of renting/borrowing the "big 3" (R3, A1, Z9), I finally made a decision and I am now a lucky owner of a Z9. I have been a fairly staunch DSLR holdout until now, however the Z9 is the first MILC that addresses enough of my prior complaints that I am comfortable making a complete system switch. I look forward to contributing and discussing various things with all of you again. Cheers

Congrats Mark! As a Z9 user the last few months (100% landscape so far but birding trips will be coming) I think most serious photographers who acquire a Z9 are going to be overall pretty happy with the cam. As a lover of a gripped D850, the Z9 is what I have been waiting for Nikon to release in the mirrorless line.

Although no longer a Nikon shooter, I will still be following the 800PF release with great interest on 4th april.
If it is as good as the 500PF but 300mm longer, it will be a dream lens.
