My 1.4x TC is lost in the ice storm somewhere, so I just had to stand outside an extra half hour in the 10 degree wind chill to let them acclimate to me so I could get close enough today

You are the only one who thinks Nikon has poor colors. Overwhelmingly, photographers from all manufacturers comment that Nikon has great colors. Glad you are happy with Fuji and hope you stay there.

sony and nikon poor colors. thats why many pros go to canon in 9teens and never looked back

Wow, I didn't know pros used digital cameras back then, to choose Canon for colors.
I was too far behind still using film, but I'm not a pro, anyway...

It does have a great look - nice natural color and contrast. This lens works great with Nikon color science. Fun image. Not everyday we see a trench-digging gal sporting a tank top with International Radiotelephony Spelling Alphabet.
