The bokeh on this lens is really surprising. I shot a wedding with it recently and had to double check the images in Lr to confirm the lens I used at times, just great. Its so good I may just buy the 24-70 II and just go with those two at events.

Don’t expect the 24-70 GMII to be in the same category as the 70-200. I tried 2 copies of the 24-70 and gave up. Then bought the 24 GM and 50 1.4 GM. A great combo with the 70-200 GMII.

Hm, this is interesting. I've heard nothing but good things about the 24-70/2.8 GM II, and I'm about to buy this lens

My Sony 24/1,4 and 55/1.8 will do nicely, for indoor stuff. My conscience wont let me buy the 24-70, its like 3K for me. Yeesh.
I have heard good things about it.

Interesting. I actually bought a 24-70/2.8 GM II here on FM but I had to return it because the zoom action "jammed", one could barely turn it. The lens was only a few months old, and barely used, but I assumed it was damaged during shipping. I guess it is worth buying from AD on this one...
Having said all of this, the 70-200/2.8 GM II is pure gold. I was shooting Canon R5 a few years back with their RF 70-200/2.8 -- I disliked that lens so much it made me switch to Sony once the GM II version was released.

Finally bit the bullet and jumped on the huge EOFY sales and got the 70-200 GM II at a price far lower than the US pricing. Sony Australia really has some amazing prices sometimes. My price was $2899AUD and that includes 10% GST or around $1800US excluding tax. Alas they don't price the 600 f/4 or 400 f/2.8 so keenly and they are about what you expect.

Isn't this an image thread related to 70-200GM mkii? Would be nice if we posted actual images and not discuss copy variations on otter lenses
I have posted actual images in this thread. Have you ?

How would that possibly bother you lol
Disruptive is it? People talking about lenses in an image thread? Oh no!!! Nrocha72 wrote:

Did you read the original thread title?? This isn't a thread to discuss gear, it's for posting images created with the 70-200GM MK II. There are already other threads discussing copy variations with the 24-70gm mkii. No need to have those discussions within this thread

Again - Read the thread title. It's for posting images created with the 70-200GM mk II, NOT for discussing unrelated gear (24-70gm mk Ii). Anything else you need to say?
