Wow! Looking good. Maybe we get ours in the States before X-mas. This lens looks like it will fit perfectly with my 20mm G and 35mm GM. The weight reduction was the surprise here for me that pushed me over the edge. I knew they would make it optically better than version 1. Can't wait.

I hope to have mine soon also. For whatever it’s worth Tony Northrup posted a comparison of the Sony, Nikon, Canon and Fuji 70-200’s (Fuji is 70-200 equivalent). He gave the Sony the top rating and flare seemed well controlled. I’m seeing vastly different reports on flare so I’m hoping the positive reviews are correct.

I got to play with it at a Sony event at my local AD today. I already had my pre-order in but this one feels great. I have the Canon RF 70-200/2.8 as well and I much prefer the way the Sony handles, the focus throw, etc - the Canon will go the block once I get this one in hand.

So now I have to decide between the new Tamron 35-150 which I just got and this 70-200 which I have on pre-order and which also seems like an excellent lens.

for me its both, because the 70-200 can take converters. but the 100-400 may be on its way out.
