same setting with 50gm looks like this but I have to add that I have never seen any ghosting while using 50gm in my usage
After using a1 I have never used zoom lense before this one. I only used fast primes with it and had no problem with battery life but after using this lens, I noticed some fast battery drain. Can it be just "zoom lens generally drains battery a lot" or something else? Hope someone helps me Thank you for reading.

My guess is that it isn't that it's a zoom but instead that it has optical image stabilization that draws power from the camera. That and a set of heavy lens elements driven by quad motors.

actually.. this was my first oss lens. Had no idea oss can drain so much battery from it. I will try with oss disabled and see what happens. Thank you for your feedback

I want to emphasize that I don't have accurate memory about it right now.
I got out with 100% battery and shoot with it on my a1 for 1hr~2hr which resulted with maybe 200-300 shots(oss, full time dmf was enabled and mode was at 1) and battery was 66~67%. For non zoom lense user like me, That was unusual so I started to search google with keywords like zoom lense, battery life camera a1 etc
I am gonna shoot with this lens tomorrow again and will report back whether my memory was correct or not.

Thanks! I'd say that's rather in line with what I see when I use my A1 + 100-400GM for example. It of course depends on the actual usage, in my case it's a lot of time spent looking for a shot but not that many shots taken...

That kind of relieved me. I thought something or setting of my lens was wrong. Thank you

Today I disabled OSS and went out for shoot. After 700ish shots for few hours, battery life displayed in monitor was 69%. I think what drained my battery yesterday was enabled OSS. I never disabled it yesterday due to my ignorance. I think I'll have to enable it only when it is necessary. Thanks for kind feedback
