Well I finally broke down and ordered one. The photos here are awesome. Also to be honest I have the 35mm GM and while a great lens I am still not crazy about the 35mm focal length. I tried to grow in to it but still no love. To make sure I took a zoom out and did some 35mm and 50mm shots and much prefer 50mm. However for wider shot needs or indoor shots I think the 35mm GM may stay in my kit. We shall see.
Great shots in this thread. They show what stunning results this lens is capable of in the right hands. I received my 50/1.2 about a week ago. I haven't owned a 50/1.2 for about a decade, after moving from Canon to Fuji and Sony. Some people say this focal length is boring but to me, it feels right. And the sharpness, colours, clarity and OOF areas from this lens are just incredibly beautiful. And to have this with eye-AF. Wow.
Received my new 50mm 1.2 today. Only had time to take a few shots this afternoon but so far very happy with it. Even got a "Wow!" out of me. One thing I can say for sure. This lens certainly is worthy of the name "Sony GM." Will post a few shots at some point.
