Would resonant frequency be more appropriate?
(Excited eigenfrequency sounds like an oxymoron)
Thanks, K-H.
Actually resonant frequencies could be several. Often seen in steel structures requiring masses to dampened the frequency. I believe the appropriate term would be "natural frequency"
Shooting a dog rescue event today. Some cute doggos and moments. Had the 70-180 and 35 GM along. I found the 35 super useful. Very easy to toggle into crop mode to get a little tighter if needed. These are the tiny 2mb wireless transfers so I could upload them to FB as the event was taking place even with a slow connection.

Testing if there is any 3-D pop. I only see the shallow DOF, but not the 3D pop that I see on some Alt lenses.
Perhaps there is some processing technique I need to learn. hmmm.
For "3D pop" the Zeiss classic 35/2 lens would be a good candidate. I never saw much of the old Zeiss classic 3D pop in any Sony lens, which I why I never bought Sony lenses, but stuck with Zeiss classic, and later on Zeiss Loxia. Also, I found the colors of the Sony lenses less attractive, Zeiss Loxia lenses have that special "poppy" color rendering. The 35GM is my first Sony lens, but not because of 3D pop, but because on the A7RIV it has massive resolution and color depth, great AF and doubles as a great 52,5mm f2.1 lens in aps-c mode. It is great for landscapes and walk around shooting when travelling. It also has great contrast. But regarding color and 3D pop, I still rate the Loxia lenses higher. The fact though that I replaced the Loxia 35 ánd Loxia 50 with the 35GM says something I guess, although it is common knowledge that technically the 35GM is far more advanced and "perfect" than the Loxia 35 end 50 lenses.

Could you provide a sample image pair for comparison of 3d pop, where the same shot turned out with more pop on the Loxia than on the GM? There is a ton of anecdotal evidence, but I'd love to actually see the difference for once.
