I'm definitely more of a 50mm guy than 35mm, but I have to say that EVERY time I use the 35GM to shoot people I love the results! I can't lie - many times I'll use crop mode when shooting people images, but I love the look this lens gives me.
I shot this one of my nephew's daughter in crop mode on the A7R3 and it's one of my favorite images. I love the 50GM, but sometimes the 35 gives me the better image.
It's what I keep hearing. I love me a good 35. I love the Z 35 1.8 as well so this should be perfect for the RIV. I liked the Sigma, just not a fan of the weight of it and the AF at times...that and Capture One thinks it's a Voightlander. Josegulias wrote:
IMHO... the consensus is that could be the best 35 ever made
Very nice!
Please tell where you focused to get this landscape at f/1.4. I struggle to capture landscapes at wide apertures and have it look good. Thanks!

On the trees on Colmer's Hill because that's the main subject. I always focus on the main subject - none of this one third stuff or hyperfocal.
