If they released a new version i'd be keen probably!
Yeah no kidding, AF and features are pretty long in the tooth on the RX1 line, unfortunately.
You could always try a Sigma 35mm f2. That lens should get you close to the RX1 look at a smaller size. Pair it with an a7C for an even smaller footprint.

Two basically (I was handholding and not using tripod) identical images - first at f1.4 and second at f8. I like both, but the f8 image is probably my first pick. This lens is so versatile and I love its rendering at any f-stop.
Nice shots and I agree the f8 is nicer, it tells more of the story
A shot at 1.4 from recent shoot. Minimal post processing, just cobalt Kodak Haas emulation turned down to 58 and a bit of boost to shadows on dogs face.

f/16 (I needed a slow speed but there was too much light and I didn't have a ND. f/16+ slow speed have affected the sharpness)

f/8 - yes you can zoom in and read the license plates of the yellow trucks !
Went up to Lake Agnes over the weekend and only saw two other folks. Didn't have enough time to scope out a good composition, but the little fella found a rock in the lake that he really liked.
Thanks! Ran into this gentleman while hiking at a nearby state park.
Asked if I could photograph him and he said sure. Got off about 4 frames, this being the best.
When I turned and looked at his buddy, he said "no, not me!" and something about having his soul captured.
I told him, to no avail, that I thought that was just with film cameras.
