Yes, that's where these blobs make it difficult to judge the blur/smoothness/transitions/etc.
If those are uploaded to the forum, I think there's a size limit above which the image is recompressed wich can result in such blobs...

I can make some comparisons and observations between the two with these shots.

The torture tests of doing shallow DoF shots against a high contrast snow/tree background shows the fact that the lens isn't an APO but it loca easily managed and not distracting at all at normal viewing resolutions...even at 100% it wasn't distracting really.

PS: BTW I noticed when I quote a post on my iPad with latest iOS I get a similar problem. I don’t get a similar issue on my M1 Mac mini. Reply seems to work fine though on both M1 and iPad.
While walking on a desert trail in the early morning, I spotted this fallen, rotting old desert tree. The light was hitting it in such a way from inside the hollowed out part that it looked like there was a fire from inside, almost like a vein had come alive.
Would anyone be able to make RAW files available with nice examples of bokeh transition zones? I want to see what I can do with the files in post as some people are saying the bokeh is not as nice as the Sigma 35 f1.2.
