Just picked up my 70-200GM Mkii... Can't believe how lightweight and sharp this lens is! Just sold 100-400 since I have the 200-600 when I need more reach. I will also say the 1.4tc doesn't impact sharpness or auto focus with A1 at all here.... really amazing performance! The Auto focus is also extremely fast (fastest AF lens I've used next to the 135GM). Even with the 1.4 teleconverter attached the 70200 Mkii focuses faster than my 100400GM bare! No small feat as the 100400 was pretty quick to focus. Sony finally has a great 70-200.

Almost a pound lighter than the Nikon 70-200 for the Z mount and the same weight as the extending Canon 70-200mm RF mount

Yes, and I love the short throw 90 degree zoom...going from 70-200 is effortless. When I tried the Canon RF 70-200 2.8, the zoom throw was long, with plenty of resistance which would only slow me down. Sony did a fantastic job on the new GM Mkii. Take care
