I shot these side by side with Z7 ii and Noct Nikkor 58/.95 .
I posted some shots from Noct Nikkor in Noct Nikkor thread. The first 2 pictures
were shot with both set up although it was not possible to move back and forward to get
the subject to fill the frame in the same way and a little cropping here and there for framing purpose,
it should still give you some ideas about the difference between the two lenses.
All three are very nice, but different. I think #1 is the nocht, # 2 and 3 the 50 1.2.From your first set, the couple in the lighted walkway is especially noted. A beautiful capture. These two Z lenses are simply amazing, and with my own Z 50 f1.2, often draws a picture totally unpredicted but pleasing non the less. It does not happen every time, but I do look forward to those surprises. Mike

All 3 were taken with 50/1.2S. Sorry for the confusion. For No.1, there is a similar picture taken with Z7 ii and Noct Nikkor but it is posted in the Noct Nikkor thread and not here.
I will look in the 58 thread too and set up a second screen to compare. Having viewed both images, my feeling is that they are close in central detail, but the OOF background from the Noct is slightly more blurred. they are both pleasing to view. Thanks, Mike

Thanks for sharing! I can see a couple of your images but I oddly can't see the rest. What I could see took forever to download. No problems with Internet speed or seeing other images so I'm a bit confused if this is on my end or not.
Anyway, I hope to see the rest and a big thanks for sharing!

Might be problem with a server that I use to host my pictures. I noticed the same thing sometimes but usually refreshing
the page took care of any problem.

I see them all now (took a number of refreshes at different times of the evening). Thank you and these are fantastic! The easiest comparison is with the two fighters (one standing on the thigh of the other) and I think I prefer the 50mm focal length in that case but I love 58mm focal length in general and your images with that lens are stunning!
Here are some from the 50/1.2 at different apertures: 1.2, 1.4, 1.6. 1.8, 2.2, 2.8.
Shot with lights in the background to showcase the shape of the bokeh from background lights.

I would go in there with some off camera flash, it just looks like a front lighting mess in there. Termite wrote:
That tunnel of light (in Suteetat's picture) is where all photographers need to go to test their lenses!
Bumping this thread with some of my daughter's graduation pics. I was so happy with how little editing I did with these images with this lens. There were some images that I really loved with some beautiful rendering but they have other teenagers in them so won't share. I need to use this lens more though.....

Congrats on your daughter’s graduation. Beautiful capture. There is something about these images ( including the post on 24-70 S thread) that make the amazing details come out naturally with no crunchy sharpening artifact. These lenses are outstanding , but it must also be the PP work that really showcase these lenses very well. Thank you for sharing.
