People cried hoarse for a APSc standard zoom, and here you have it, even if its sharper than the full frame version, nobody buys it.

Cheaper than I thought! Is there a good reason to get this lens if I don't shoot portraits? . I have the Voigtlander 35 f1.2 SE too. I got the beautiful Sony 135 GM but ended up selling it and "downgraded" to a Batis 135.

It's 1798 CHF ... this is 2021 $.
While calculating the swiss price they accidently changed the current price with the current year...

Sony typically price few lenses, the bread n butter ones, a bit low for volumes sake. Examples:
200-600: Only game for the hobbyists
20/1.8: late in the game with huge competition
90 G: Everyone ends up with one
35 GM: Ditto
