The rumor about CES also states they don't expect the lens to be announced then. It does make sense that it should be revealed pretty soon either way though if it's being reviewed.
Also, since I've seen it mentioned a couple of times, the Panasonic lens in the video is not a zoom, it is the 50mm f1.4.

I do though think that by looking at the lens hood it would be a bit narrow for a 28mm FOV

I don't think so with a 67mm filter thread. We can't know for sure, but I would think a 35 f/1.2 would have at least a 77mm filter thread (the Sigma 35 f/1.2 has an 82mm filter thread). A 67mm filter thread seems small even for an f/1.4 lens.

Very excited. My Sigma 35mm F2 will arrive tomorrow, will have some time to test it against my 35mm F1.4 ZA before I likely will sell both to get the new GM Does not make much sense, but hey, its my hobby
Like the 67mm filter thread, works well with my wider primes. I hope it has the rendering wide open of the 1.4 ZA, the sharpness of the 24mm GM and the sunstar of the 20mm 1.8 G.

It's very exciting indeed. My hope for the new 35/1.4 GM is slightly different than yours. I'd prefer that it renders like the 24/1.4 GM with the Sigma 35/1.2's LoCA correction and sharpness across the field. Also I wish that it borrows the 12-24/2.8 GM sunstars which in imo is the best one from Sony so far.

Hard for me to tell with the hood. But I don't think anyone was expecting a small 35 F1.4 AF lens. Maybe a bit smaller than the FE 35 f1.4. Or maybe not even a 35 F1.4 !

Well, can't say I wasn't hoping for a small miracle , fueled by SAR rumours, but it seems they got it wrong again, as later they changed it so that it's 16GM to be expected the size of 24GM...

Why already complaining, without more details known? If it were a 35/1.4 with 67mm filter size, it would indicate that it would not be huge at all.
Does not make much sense, but hey, its my hobby
