I don't think the Escort was ever US market back then. I could be wrong though.
Fedex just delivered my 20/1.8. I can tell it will be a fun and excellent lens. I took a few shots just to make sure everything is ok and it's a nice copy. Now I'm going to wrap it up and put it under the tree.
I think the 20/1.8 is one of the best IQ/$ values in Sony ecosystem. I really like the look of images from the 20/1.8, though I don’t like the rendering quite as much as the 24 GM but it is really close and better than that lens in certain respects.
I’m pairing the 20G and 50G these days as an everyday carry in a Peak design 6L sling.
