I think the 20/1.8 is one of the best IQ/$ values in Sony ecosystem. I really like the look of images from the 20/1.8, though I don’t like the rendering quite as much as the 24 GM but it is really close and better than that lens in certain respects.
I’m pairing the 20G and 50G these days as an everyday carry in a Peak design 6L sling.
Yeah. What I'd give for an entire line just like the 20 G haha.
My first landscape outing tonight with the new 20G. I only had about 30 minutes of shooting time, but this lens is VERY sharp across the frame. Extremely sharp. Hard to tell with the FM compression.

New to Sony this fall, have the 20, 24, 40, and 90G. Would love a G 1.8 series like the 20 as well - same look, feel, controls. And yes, the 24, 40 and others would have to get bigger - that's OK. Not sure if it makes sense for Sony to produce...
Thanks everyone for posting these. It’s interesting to note the more compelling images here than the 16-35pz thread, and I wonder if it’s that prime lens shooters are more likely to spend time in post, or I’d the contrast and colours from this lens are just that much better. I have watched all the reviews, and sharpness tests, etc, but I can’t help feeling those clinical tests miss character vs real world shots. Some great photos in here, thanks again.
Overly photographed perhaps, but it's hard to walk by without trying some angles, especially if you're checking lens sharpness. The light on this day was interesting for me, given the time. I hope you enjoy them. A7iv +20g if it’s of interest.
I traded Loxia 21 for a second hand Sony 20G. Zeiss lenses have their own appeal, but I have no regrets - af is practical to have, brighter max aperture makes sometimes difference, and lighter weight is plus.

Beautiful images especially the one in the snow. There is just something special about the 20mm FL that I so enjoy shooting with. Combined with just how darn light and small this lens is, one can't help but bring it with them all the time. I still can't believe how this lens was not labeled as a GM.
