A few updates for those who consider the MTZ11:
According to another user, at least one M mount lens will not fit, namely the TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 which has a quite wide barrel near the mount. Since the mount is recessed in the MTZ11 and the adapter has a protruding body, the lens won't go deep enough to reach infinity.
For adapting manual DSLR lenses an additional adapter is needed on the MTZ11. Several Nikon F to M mount adapters with aperture control mechanism will not fit in the throat of the MTZ11 (again, since the mount is recessed in the adapter). It appears that regular adapters without the aperture control mechanism usually fits.

I have the adapter I can confirm that the 0.95 lenses will not mount but soem fat lenses (like the 75/1.25) will still mount.
The 6.5mm make possible to focus up 110mm without prefocusing.
I have no issue with all sort of adapters. I can imagine some Nikon g adapters might not fit, but as I do not own any I cannot judge.
One annoyance is that when the adapter is fully retracted is almost impossible to remove change lens (or 2nd adapter+lens) as there is not enough space for the level to be pushed. It is necessary to pay attention before turning off the camera. All in all I am very satisfied.

Yes the TTA 50/0.95 does not work. However, the soon-to-be-released Mitakon 50mm f/0.95 Leica M will work perfectly. See below vid.
Anyone interested in doing a review on BOTH the adapter and lens in YT? I have a loaner sample sitting on my table.
Soon to be released? I thought it was on the market long ago. It was reviewed in August 20th, 2020 here: https://phillipreeve.net/blog/review-zhong-yi-50mm-0-95-m/
While the Mitakon (Zhong Yi) is better at infinity than the TTArtisans, it is unfortunately not as sharp at portrait distance (see the test shots done at 2.1m and 1.4m). As it is, there are several 50mm f/0.95 lenses available for full frame mirrorless cameras and none are really convincing to me. The only top performer is the 58mm Z Noct-Nikkor, but (apart from the prohibitive price) it's a huge lens. Hopefully we will see an adequately well done 50mm f/0.95 M mount lens for mirrorless. (The Noctilux Asph is way overpriced for what it does too.)

Updates regarding MTZ11 versus TZM-01:
The Techart adapter firmware reportedly only has 50mm f/2 as lens in EXIF. In other words: the IBIS will not work at it's best when using wide or tele lenses. The Megadap on the other hand will let you select all possible M mount focal lengths from 10mm to 135mm and you can also "tell" the camera which aperture you shoot at (as long as it isn't larger than f/1.4).
- - -
I have also discovered that I do actually set the aperture on the camera dial after I set it on the lens to get the correct EXIF data. This at first seemed cumbersome, but in practice it's no big deal since I always shoot in aperture or manual mode, so I just turn the aperture on both lens and camera and start shooting.

Well, that update was true very short. I just got informed that there is a firmware update from Techart that made it possible to set focal length and aperture.
Yes we did release a new calibration tool. Please note that this is NOT a firmware update and this is NOT a must-do. The firmware is for those who had experienced some focus hesitation/focus-off cases with their Megadap to do further calibration. Please refer to below link for installation steps. Let me know if you found your adapter further improved.

I just did the calibration, excited to see how it turns out when shooting, appreciate that you're looking here for feedback to keep improving the adapter.
On a side note: Is there any chance we could get support for 1.2 aperture in a future firmware update?

Currently do not have plans for 1.2 aperture on camera as the AF speed will be greatly reduced if you set f/1.2 at camera and its barely usable.

Thanks for explaining. I have a few follow-up questions then:
How will the adapter handle a 50mm f/0.95 lens given the limitation you mention?
Does a change on the aperture dial (on the camera only, not the lens) affect the AF performance?
Should we set the aperture on the lens AND the camera to the same setting for best AF performance?

First thing is your camera aperture does NOT need to match the lens aperture. So not being able to set to f/1.2 does NOT mean that you cannot use a f/0.95.
Let me explain it further. The faster the f-stop you set in your camera, the slower the AF speed, the better the AF accuracy. Its because the camera is trying 'harder' to nail focus at larger aperture (shallower DOF). If you are using a f/2.8 lens, we suggest you to set the camera aperture at f/2.8 so that the AF speed/accuracy is balanced. Setting to f/1.4 will affect the AF speed and there is not much further improvement for AF accuracy. However it all comes down to the lens itself.
So if you set f/1.4 on camera for f/0.95 lens, will the AF accuracy be affected? Yes possibly but in my case, i dont see any problem with focus accuracy.

Great explanation! Now I understand how the aperture setting on the camera works and it makes perfect sense (after reading your answer).
My impression is that the adapter will struggle more with getting focus when using somewhat soft lenses wide open (like 50mm f/0.95 lenses and the Zeiss Sonnar 50mm f/1.5) while super sharp lenses will yield fast and accurate focus. Am I right here?

Yes it is. Some lenses are just too unsharp that Nikon cannot 'agree' and so it struggles.

hi - this seems perfect for a voigtlander 15mm f/4.5 which has a minimum 0.3 meter focusing distance.
this is an awesome lens, but my only complaint is that focusing distance feels huge at 15mm.

how close could i focus with this adapter?
My Super Wide-Heliar 15mm f/4.5 III focuses to 50cm on the lens and with the extension from the MTZ11, I can focus about an inch or so from the front lens element. Close enough for me.

Has anyone gotten the Techart adapter to give a comparison?
More than anything, I'm interested in finding how the design decision of having a quasi-flat belly improve lens compatibility.
MTZ11 seems to have problem with many fat lenses... which is a problem for me given my collection of fast lenses.
I have not heard of other lenses that won't fit than the TTArtisans 50mm f/0.95. For reference, the similarly spec'ed Zhong Yi will mount, the 7Artisans 75mm f/1.2 too, Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.2 Asph etc. etc.
However, it appears more universal to say that most Nikon F to Leica M adapters with aperture control mechanism won't fit.

wow 1 inch! do you have any shots you can share? not necessarily 1 inch, but something close?
