My wife and I are going down to Eureka Springs tomarrow (sunday).... just a get-away for a day.. We are also going to go check out the Cats and a few other places to photo on April 30th, basically scout it out while we are there....
The main reason of our trip tomarrow is because my wife was diagnosed with cancer this week and we need to make a decission on surgery options and a little soul searching I guess you would say.... I'm also thinking of selling out our DJ business so I can have more time to focus on my wife.
I'll be heading down on Thursday after work and leaving on Sunday. Haven't made reservations yet but will soon. Also, put me down for the 1 hour of cat time. Thanks.

To all considering staying the weekend of April 30th, the Trade Winds and Sherwood Court do have FREE wireless broadband... I checked while we where there last weekend .. I'm sure other places do to, but can't say which do...
I have only a few, 2 or 3 I think, that are wanting the private cat shoot... with only this few interested or willing to pay the 100.00 bucks.. more than likely we won't get a discount.... so it will be 100.00 per shooter.... I'm thinking if we can get 5-10 or more interested and willing, I can try to work him down to 1/2 the price or 50 bucks a shooter!! The more interested, the better the chance!!!
I need to know ASAP who is willing to pay this so I can call him to reserve the time... really need to do this before this next friday...

I'm not really sure... All I have is my Sigma 70-300 and I'm hoping that will do... I might try to get an extender before the 30th.. not sure if it will happen though....
well.. I think my wife has off this tuesday so we might just take a road trip down that way and I will check the conditions out... she was wanting to go on an all day photo shoot (drive) anyway.... plus it is supposed to be nice and almost 80 degrees.. yeah!!
If not tuesday, I will try to go this coming sunday....
I will have the camera with me so I should be able to post some shots I might get... then I will be able to see if an extender is going to be needed....

I have a ton of things going on right now and through mid-July so couldn't make your meet 'n greet but.......if Y'all are looking for a nice place for a group get-together and some nice photo ops in the future you might consider the Boston Mtn's. in the Jasper , AR area. Also you will be right near the Buffalo River which is America's first and foremost national river. A cool place to stay would be Beckham Creek Cave Haven here: http://www.ozarkcave.com/ You will also get a chance to see and photograph some of our many elk herds that reside along the Buffalo.

No, sorry to say I hadn't got down there yet.. My dad went in the hospital Saturday morning with a runaway heart.. heart rate was 180 and BP was 220/109 ... they ran some tests and gave him meds.. after 5 hrs in ER they got it back to normal.. they said it could have easily turned into a heart attack or stroke....
I had to contact a DJ friend of ours in KC to cover the gig we had there Saturday night... The Dr finally released him yesterday evening.. then today, he had an insulin reaction, his blood sugar fell to below 30, he is a diabetic also.. so I spent most of today with him.. had to give him a sugar rush to get it back up to normal.. we thought we was going to have to call the ambulance because we couldn't get him to respond to our attempts to get him out of this with sweetened orange juice, sugar and peanut butter ...
My mom used to be an RN. Dee and I were First Responders with the Fire dept in Arkansas when we lived there... I'm just glad we live next door to them...
Anyway, enough about me and family issues, lol ... I will try to get down there as soon as I can to do the scope of the place.... please bear with me..lol I WILL get down there...
So far I think we have about 5 in the $100 shoot... I AM DEFINATELY going this sunday to check out the cat place to see how it's going to be and see if I can talk him down to $50 a shooter so more will join in ... I will post pics of the place when I get back sunday night....

We will be there friday night and leave on sunday....
Made my reservations and thought I'd make a trip of it so am heading down on Wednesday. Staying at the best flea bag I can find since I don't think I'll be in the room too much. Anyway, looking forward to it and make sure you count me in for the cats.
