Rob, that is absolutely gorgeous! Wow! I think you just out did all your previously amazing Lotus shots.
Damn, and I was just about to post up a 44 image stack of a wild morning glory and a few others that I thought turned out nice.
I think I'll just set on them for a while.
This entire page is full of some amazing photo's! Nice work everyone!

Thank you Dave, very kind of you. Please post yours up. This is my first stacked image actually, it is a nice feature. 44 images must be cool. Funny thing at first I thought I was doing it wrong, the image kept going blurry quickly but it took the pictures so fast that is was all good

What method did you use to create the black background in this photo? Black poster board?
Very nice work.
Thanks, no theses are in my pond. It was gray/cloudy because of the rain and the water is looking black due to the weather and exposure. Our pond also has a black rubber liner so when there is no sun it looks much darker. I added a little contrast which even made it a bit darker looking also.
Milky Way photography in the eastern US is difficult because of light and air pollution. I'm not very skilled at executing astrophotography or processing the image, but I thought I would try the R5 when the opportunity arose.
