Our kids live in Melbourne Australia, and their local stores are also out of TP. What a world.

I guess I’m one of the lucky ones because I just got home from Costco with one of those big packs of TP.
That pack should last me at least two weeks, so I hope this is all over by then for when I go back and get more!!! LoL

You can double that by using both sides of the paper.

I was at our Costco in Toronto and toilet paper and paper towels are completely gone as is bottled water.

However samples of pizza and yogurt were in full force and there were still several EOS M100s in stock.

I work at REI, and it really is comical about how people think this is a doomsday deal. Are people going to deuce more than normal? Bottled water is the biggest rip off just tap water that is bottled. Just buy an MSR Guardian purifier for $350 and you can clean any water source, minus salt water.

This isn't the Zombie apocalypse people. But real survival skills most don't have I suppose.

'World health officials say the mortality rate for COVID-19 is 3.4%. The death rate from "normal" 2019 flu is around 0.05%. If 10% of the USA's population catches COVID-19..... around 1.1 Million Die. The normal flu would only kill around 16,500 (assuming 10% catch it).'

'I don't think most people understand why China shut down their economy.'

'I love it when they compare it to the yearly flu as if we also quarantine 10-15% of the global population, close ports and airports, ban cruise ships and need financial injections by the central banks every year we have the flu.'

at least here in the US, most of the victims have been people that have have already been ill with previous sicknesses. People have survived this. Ebola and Aids had the same kind of mortality numbers when they first came to light.

I've been "trying" my patience with Canon since Sony released their A7R2, for Canon to come up with a contender.

Now that the R5 presumes to become a reality, & fulfill that wish, can't help but wonder if it's production will be further delayed, & for how long?

My patience is about to "run out of gas"!

Just recharge the batteries in your current cameras, load empty cards and breathe...and shoot. Last I checked, mine are working just fine.

I'd bet a high percentage of people have a previous sickness or other health issue. Not that comforting for those people.

Are you at 33S, or in Sandy? Chances are good that I contributed a useful portion of your salary, for my Torrey/CRNP trips in the mid-teens, regardless if you're at 33rd or Sandy (or Cabelas).

One of the challenges for this situation is to determine, exaclty what scenario am I planning for ? Of course, if you plan for the long term, then the short term (as this shoud be), should be more-or-less under control. It's not like there's a lack of survival planing skills in Utah, eh?

One of the most immediate issues that just arose, is that India has started to limit their exports of generic drugs, as ~70% of the ingredients are from China. One of the affected drugs is Paracetamol, a.k.a. acetaminophin. Other suppliers with different supply chains are starting to self-identify that "everything's OK here". A current story at BBC says these generic drug exports from India account for about 25% of US drugs, and so Canada is probably about the same.

P.S. Watch for price increases and shortages for coffee, chocolate, and other exports from tropical latitudes, as CORVID19 continues to spread.

All high end Canon bodies and L lenses are made in Japan, unlike Sony. That's why it is more expensive, labor cost is higher. A9 is made in Thailand.

Off topic, but Ebola is close to 90% when it first came out, now is 40 to 50%. Totally different fatality rates. HIV is slow virus, people can live 10 yrs before getting sick. You are not comparing similar things. COVID-19 is closer to SARS genetically, it is actually called SARS2 virus officially by viral taxonomy. Fatality rates are lower than SARS, but more than seasonal flu.

The fatality rate of the Corona virus determined by World Heath Organization is now pegged at 3.4%

Based on falsified information from China. The real rate is substantially higher in rural/underdeveloped areas.

It’s fun to have fun.
I’m just glad the FM is not LOCK HAPPY like another forum I visit on occasion.
That forum is dying and I can see why, it has Chinese style suppression and censorship.
Nobody is using dirty language, it’s all tongue-in-cheek fun!!!
NOBODY is here against their will!
