Nice! Mine still shows back ordered My order went in a couple days after yours. I wonder how many they received in the first shipment?
They are pretty good if you call and they can tell you where your order stands. I know when I ordered they told me they had more on order than the pre orders at that point. Mine confirmed shipped and will be here tomorrow by 8pm. Good luck on yours.

Thanks. I'm just jealous you got shipping confirmation!
Looking forward to seeing your images once it's delivered!

Just saw that my order is being processed with a 2/17 expected delivery date! Hopefully the weather improves next week!
Nice, you will be posting in no time. I will have some sun but very chilly. Friday night down to 7 degrees, so Saturday morning will be just lovely. At least the new camera should be able to track the slow frozen birds

Sounds like you'll be testing out the joystick sensor with warm gloves on.
Thankfully they didn't do away with the joystick part and just went with the sensor for such conditions.
Got mine today, and put it through its paces at a gym meet.
Autofocus is much better. It tracks wonderfully and keeps locked on the athletes, even when they wear black suits, which the 1DX2 could not do.
The other things I noticed which no one is talking about, is that the camera is a lot more quieter than a 1DX2, even when shooting at high FPS. Also, the shutter has a much more tactile feel, allowing greater control over the frame rate and allowing me to shoot less with more keepers.
I cannot post the images due to privacy reasons as the athletes are under 12 years old.
Got the email this afternoon from my local Canon dealer and I'm picking mine up on Saturday along with the WFT-E9a. Hopefully the weather cooperates this weekend.

Congrats on your new tool, always excited when that box arrives.
Although i wouldn't recommend anyone not having a loaner to fire away bursts and check for oil. I am just like Pius very much interested to learn if they fixed this problem. I read in the specs that they designed a completely new mirror box that slows the mirror slap when returning down, which may not only made the shutter sound more subtle, but also reduced the chance to spill oil on the sensor.
I would also like to know how delicate the top layer of this sensor is. The previous sensors were not so easy to clean. So yea, fingers crossed.
